We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Vice President to lead our Business Analytics & GenAI Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of advanced analytical solutions to support key business objectives. This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams, delivering impactful insights, and fostering a data-driven culture.

The Business Analytics Sr. Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). This role demands a robust technical foundation, solving analytical problems using Generative AI. Practical experience with Generative AI technologies and frameworks, and specialized skills in Prompt Engineering, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), Langgraph, Langchain frameworks. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.

Responsibilities:

• Incumbents would be primarily responsible for supporting Business Execution activities Chief Operating Office, implement analytical solutions to manage banking operations like spend and utilization insights with contextualized metrics.
• Candidates must be adept at Generative AI solution design and implementation. Complementing this, strong data science technical skills are essential, encompassing proficiency in programming languages like Python, experience with data manipulation tools such as PySpark, SQL, and Hive, and the ability to handle data requirements, collection, processing, cleaning, exploratory data analysis, and effective data visualization. A solid understanding of analytical and statistical foundations, including hypothesis testing, segmentation, predictive modeling, and performance optimization, is also crucial.
• Oversee the Data Analytics, Insight Generation and Reporting activities using proven analytical techniques. Responsible for documenting data requirements, data collection / processing / cleaning, and exploratory data analysis, which may include Process Automation / Optimization and data visualization techniques.
• Lead the architecture, design, and development of mission-critical, production-grade Generative AI applications and Agentic solutions, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Define and own the technical roadmap for AI platforms, making critical decisions on architecture, technology stacks, and long-term evolution.
• Drive the strategy for designing and redesigning business processes with Agentic solutions, focusing on advanced agent architecture, memory management, hallucination control, and reinforcement learning-based feedback loops.
• Interface between business and technology partners for digitizing data collection, including performance generation, validation rules for banking operations. Offer technical guidance and support in areas such as knowledge graph development, data extraction, and other technical aspects related to model implementation
• Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management. Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in data science and analytics. Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements
• Incumbents work with large and complex data sets (both internal and external data) to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies
• Identifies and compiles data sets using a variety of tools (e.g. SQL, Access) to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business to business outcomes
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
• Stay at the forefront of AI research and industry trends, identifying new opportunities and technologies to drive business value.

Qualifications:

• 10-15 years of experience in Analytics, with a minimum of 3 years leading the development of production-ready Gen AI RAG or Agent-based solutions.
• AI / Gen AI proficiency and thought leadership in Financial/Business Analysis and/or credit/risk analysis with ability to impact key business drivers via a disciplined analytic process
• Hands-on experience in applied machine learning, Generative AI solutions (e.g., Prompt Engineering, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), Google ADK, Langgraph, Langchain frameworks and Big Data technologies.
• Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Ability to leverage data science tools & techniques for analytics problem solving for organizational needs
• Deep expertise in architecting and designing complex Agentic solutions, including a rich understanding of different agentic architectures and their trade-offs.
• Experience in Developing and Deploying AI solutions in partnership with Tech and Business
• Experience with any banking applications (e.g., fraud detection, risk management, expense/operation management, legal/customer analytics). Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security
• Experience in interacting with senior stakeholders across the organization to be able to manage end-to-end conceptualization & implementation of data science solutions
• Analytics thought leadership skills & Manage project planning effectively
• Strong people management skills with experience in grooming and developing engineers (mandatory for manager track)
• In-depth understanding of the various financial service business models, expert knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and how to apply the techniques to drive substantial business results
• Creative problem-solving skills

Education:

• Bachelors/University degree in STEM, AI, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. Master’s degree preferred
