Job Description

Purpose of the role

To support the bank's decision-making processes by providing timely, accurate, and insightful information through designing, developing, and maintaining management reports and dashboards that effectively communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends across various business units. 

Accountabilities

• Design and development of comprehensive reports and dashboards using various data visualization tools and techniques.
• Design, development and implementation of automated report generation processes for improved efficiency and timeliness.
• Identification and analysis of business requirements to define report content and format.
• Maintenance and updating of existing reports and dashboards to reflect changing business needs, including co-ordination of reporting template releases and related administrative tasks.
• Development of robust processes & controls for collating input data & seeking signoffs as required.
• Engagement with stakeholders as needed to ensure up to date data is incorporated into reporting.

As a Business Intelligence Analyst in the Economic Crime space, you will support the development of data solutions that enhance our ability to detect, prevent, and manage financial crime risks. You’ll work within the Data Delivery & Control Technology (DDC) team to build high quality, governed data products and deliver impactful reporting using modern data tooling.

To be successful as a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will need to have:

• Business Intelligence and MI reporting development – proven experience designing, building, and maintaining management information (MI), business intelligence (BI), and analytical reporting solutions using platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualisation tools. Ability to create intuitive dashboards, reporting packs, and data products that support operational, management, and regulatory decision-making.
• Report migration and modernisation – demonstrable experience translating business requirements and existing reporting solutions from legacy platforms into modern cloud-based reporting tools. Confidence to independently own the end-to-end delivery of new reports and dashboards, including requirements analysis, data validation, stakeholder engagement, testing, and implementation.

Additional skills include:

• SQL and data analysis – practical SQL experience for data exploration, profiling, validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis.
• Data governance, controls, and modelling awareness – understanding of data quality controls (lineage, completeness, accuracy, reconciliation, auditability) and common data modelling approaches.
• Cloud data platforms and modern data tooling – exposure to platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Databricks, or similar cloud-based data ecosystems.
