Key Responsibilities:

Seeking an experienced iOS Mobile Engineer to design, develop, and support innovative mobile applications that deliver exceptional digital healthcare experiences for millions of members. This role focuses on building secure, scalable, and high-performance native iOS applications while collaborating with Product, UX, QA, Architecture, and Engineering teams to deliver customer-centric solutions.

This individual contributor position is responsible for developing native iOS applications using modern Apple technologies and best practices. The engineer will participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Swift, iOS application architecture, API integration, automated testing, CI/CD practices, and modern design patterns such as MVVM.

Application Development:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift.
• Build scalable, responsive, and secure mobile solutions aligned with business and user requirements.
• Develop reusable UI components and implement modern iOS architecture patterns such as MVVM.
• Translate business requirements and functional specifications into high-quality code and technical solutions.
• Support the design and implementation of engaging customer-facing mobile features that enhance user experience.

Mobile Engineering & Integration:

• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services into iOS applications.
• Integrate third-party SDKs and libraries such as Firebase, Analytics, Maps, Push Notifications, and Monitoring tools.
• Consume and manage content from Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar CMS platforms.
• Implement networking, caching, offline capabilities, and robust error-handling mechanisms.

Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Develop and execute unit tests and automated UI tests using XCTest and XCUITest.
• Support Component Integration Testing (CIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot defects, conduct root cause analysis, and implement fixes.

DevOps & Release Management:

• Participate in CI/CD processes using tools such as Jenkins, Fastlane, SonarQube, and related DevOps technologies.
• Manage certificates, provisioning profiles, app signing, build configurations, and App Store release processes.
• Support application deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production maintenance activities.

Collaboration & Documentation:

• Collaborate with Product Management, UX, QA, Security, Architecture, and Operations teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and design artifacts.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture and security standards.

Operational Support:

• Provide incident support and troubleshooting for moderately complex application issues.
• Monitor application performance and recommend improvements for scalability, reliability, and security.
• Support healthcare application compliance requirements, including HIPAA and data privacy standards.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of software development experience or related experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience developing native iOS applications using Swift.
• Minimum 2 years of experience integrating APIs and backend services.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with native mobile dependency management tools such as Swift Package Manager, CocoaPods, or Carthage.
• Minimum 2 years of experience integrating third-party SDKs, libraries, or source code.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or a similar Content Management System (CMS).
• Experience developing automated tests using XCTest and XCUITest.

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong expertise in Swift and iOS SDK.
• Strong understanding of iOS application lifecycle and architecture patterns.
• Experience with MVVM architecture and UIKit and/or SwiftUI development.
• Experience with URLSession, Alamofire, REST API integration, networking, caching, and error handling.
• Experience writing unit and UI automation tests using XCTest/XCUITest.
• Knowledge of Git-based version control systems.
• Understanding of mobile application security and Apple platform best practices.

Additional Requirements:

• Skilled in native iOS application development using modern Apple frameworks and design patterns.
• Proficient in MVVM architecture, UIKit, and/or SwiftUI.
• Experience managing provisioning profiles, certificates, entitlements, app signing, and release workflows.
• Skilled in automated UI testing using XCTest and XCUITest.
• Experience integrating third-party SDKs including Firebase, Analytics, Mapping, Notifications, and Monitoring solutions.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and mobile DevOps practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot application performance, stability, memory management, and production issues.
• Experience integrating content from Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar headless CMS platforms.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year experience with location-based technologies (GPS, geofencing, iBeacon, Core Location).
• 1+ year experience with mobile DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Fastlane, SonarQube, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• 1+ year experience practicing Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• 1+ year experience with cloud-based mobile testing platforms such as Perfecto, BrowserStack, or Sauce Labs.
• 1+ year experience working with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
• 2+ years’ experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience developing enterprise-scale iOS applications.
• Experience managing App Store deployment and distribution processes.
• Experience developing HIPAA-compliant and PCI-compliant applications.
• Experience with Firebase services, application analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring.
• Experience implementing secure mobile development practices and healthcare data protection standards.
