Technology Strategy Consultant

Join our Engineering Strategy & Delivery team in Sydney with flexible work arrangements as a Technology Strategy Consultant, helping clients turn technology ambition into practical roadmaps, architectures and transformation outcomes.

What will your typical day look like?

Working across technology strategy, architecture and transformation engagements, you'll help clients make smarter decisions about where they're going and how they'll get there. That could mean shaping enterprise and solution architectures, building business cases, or supporting governance structures that keep complex programs moving with clarity and control.

A big part of the role is helping organisations adopt cloud and AI in ways that are responsible, practical and value-led. You'll weigh up options across data, integration, security and operating model design, then turn that analysis into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.

No two projects will feel exactly the same. You'll work with Deloitte teams, clients and alliance partners, contribute to proposals and thought leadership, and help build reusable assets like reference architectures, decision frameworks and AI patterns that strengthen the practice over time.

About the team

Our Engineering Strategy & Delivery team helps clients align technology strategy, enterprise architecture, cloud and AI adoption, and operating models to business goals. The work spans strategy through to delivery enablement, with a strong focus on measurable outcomes, trustworthy innovation and practical execution. It's a collaborative team where you'll build capability across architecture, strategy, cloud and responsible AI while contributing to meaningful transformation work.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:

• 2+ years of experience in technology consulting, architecture, strategy, transformation, or a closely related field

• Experience supporting technology strategies, operating models, enterprise architecture, or solution design

• Ability to build business cases and work through value modelling such as TCO, NPV or ROI

• Confidence facilitating workshops, structuring problems and communicating clearly with business and technology stakeholders

• Strong technical literacy across cloud, data, integration, security, delivery governance, or GenAI enablement, without needing to be a hands-on engineer

• Experience contributing to proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, or value-led client presentations

• Familiarity with tools and methods such as Jira, Confluence, architecture tooling, Agile, SAFe, FinOps, DevSecOps, or platform engineering

• Nice to have - certifications such as TOGAF, AWS, Azure, GCP, or foundational AI and Responsible AI credentials
