Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Compliance Officer to join our Compliance, Financial Crime and Conduct Risk team in Luxembourg. In this role, you will support the Country Compliance function in helping ensure that local operations remain well controlled, compliant, and aligned with applicable regulatory requirements, Group policies, and internal risk frameworks.

This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional with strong financial services experience, an interest in digital assets and crypto-related regulatory developments, and the confidence to operate in a fast-moving, highly regulated environment. You will work closely with local and regional Compliance teams, authorised managers, senior stakeholders, and external parties to support compliance monitoring, risk assessments, policy implementation, financial crime reviews, and regulatory engagement.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the Luxembourg entity’s adherence to CSSF requirements, Group standards, and the broader Compliance, Financial Crime and Conduct Risk framework, including activities related to digital asset services

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the compliance strategy, direction, and operating model in Luxembourg, working closely with the Chief Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
• Act as Deputy Head of Compliance and contribute to the effective management of compliance, financial crime, and conduct risks across the Luxembourg business.
• Help ensure appropriate Compliance, Financial Crime and Conduct Risk processes, tools, and frameworks are in place to support a strong and sustainable control environment.
• Support the communication, implementation, and local adoption of internal policies, procedures, standards, and regulatory updates.
• Provide guidance and support to stakeholders to help them make decisions aligned with current and emerging policies, risk appetite, regulatory expectations, and business conduct standards.
• Assist with compliance monitoring, surveillance, assurance activities, and risk assessments in line with Group methodologies and Luxembourg regulatory requirements.
• Review and maintain local policies, procedures, and desk operating instructions to ensure alignment with local regulatory obligations and internal Compliance standards.
• Support day-to-day Financial Crime Controls, including screening, transaction monitoring, initial alert reviews, escalation of concerns, and preparation of Suspicious Transaction Reports for submission to the Luxembourg Financial Intelligence Unit.
• Identify, assess, document, and escalate potential regulatory, conduct, and financial crime risks, including breaches, risk-tolerance issues, or emerging horizon risks.
• Prepare timely and accurate management information for senior stakeholders, including regional Compliance leadership and local senior management.
• Support compliance-related training, awareness initiatives, team coordination, and the development of a strong compliance culture based on openness, trust, accountability, and ethical conduct.
• Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including local and regional Compliance teams, Group Internal Audit, the Country CEO, the Country COO, external regulators, and law enforcement authorities. 

Skills and Experience

• Master’s degree with at least 5 years of experience in financial services compliance or audit roles.
• Strong working knowledge of financial services laws, regulations, compliance practices, and risk management frameworks.
• Strong interest in, or experience with, the crypto industry and motivation to work in a dynamic, innovative, and constantly evolving regulatory environment.
• Experience supporting compliance policies, standards, advisory activities, reviews, assurance, surveillance, investigations, risk assessments, and regulatory liaison.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information, assess potential risks, and contribute to practical risk-mitigation actions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive, hands-on, and autonomous working style, with the ability to prioritise effectively, take ownership, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Comfortable working in a diverse, international, fast-moving business environment and adapting to evolving regulatory expectations.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across Compliance, Risk, business, audit, regulatory, and operational teams.
