Purpose of the role

To develop, and evolve the banks technology architecture through relevant solutions, strategies and execution plans aligned to and prioritized by business and technology objectives, including the development, evolution and adoption of foundational platforms and products.

Join us as a Security Enterprise Architect at Barclays, where you will play a strategic role in defining and evolving the bank’s enterprise security architecture across Endpoint and IAM domains. You will work closely with architecture, engineering, cyber security and business stakeholders to design secure technology solution and influence long-term security strategy

The role will include defining enterprise security architecture principles and target-state security capabilities, providing architectural guidance across major technology and working closely with engineering and security teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with regulatory standards.

To be successful as a Security Enterprise Architect, you should have:

• Proven experience in Security Architecture, designing secure enterprise-scale technology solutions across complex environments.

• Previous hands-on experience in technical security disciplines such as security engineering, digital forensics and incident response (DFIR), offensive security or related cyber security functions.

• Experience securing technology environments within the financial services sector, with a strong understanding of regulatory, operational resilience and governance requirements.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Domain expertise in Endpoint Security and modern endpoint protection architectures.

• Domain expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM), including authentication, authorisation, privileged access and identity governance.

• Domain expertise in AI and Data Security, including secure AI adoption, data protection, model security and information governance controls.

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

The successful candidate can be based in Knutsford (Radbroke Hall), Glasgow, Northampton or London.
