Team Leader (Plant) - B3
Operations
In this role you will be responsible for:
Assist the Plant Supervisor in the safe and effective operation of the UG2 Plants.
Ensuring that all employees conduct operational duties safely according to Safe Work Procedures.
Continuously inspecting the plant equipment and processes, reporting any deviations to the Plant Supervisor.
Safe stopping and starting of the plant before and after any maintenance or breakdown work.
Perform maintenance on cyclones, spirals, screen panels, valves and pipes.
Comply with Glencore’s 9 Life Saving Behaviours and Fatal Hazard Protocols.
Ensure that plant equipment runs optimally, resolving any blockages, restrictions or counterproductive conditions.
Assist the Plant Supervisor in producing the required quality and quantity of final concentrate.
Ensuring that quality monitoring and sampling throughout the shift is conducted as per procedure.
Assist the Plant Supervisor with stockpile management and dispatching of final product during the shift.
Promoting the culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Assist the Plant Supervisor in all health and safety duties such as GCOM, Risk Assessment, Meerkat, PTO’s and SI’s.
About you:
Grade 12
At least three years’ experience in a Chrome Beneficiation Plant
Experience on magnetic separation process will be advantageous.
Medically fit to work on surface, confined space and at heights.
Health & Safety Representative, (Part-time, MQA aligned training) will be advantageous.
