Department Overview

Corporate Treasury is responsible for managing all aspects of liquidity and funding requirements of the firm in accordance with the Executive Management Boards mandated risk appetite and in compliance with regulatory liquidity metrics.

 

Global Treasury has a presence in Tokyo Headquarter, New York, London, Frankfurt, Singapore, Mumbai and Seoul, and is supported by an offshore team in Powai, India. The Treasury department comprises three core functions: Funding & Investments, Liquidity Management, and Treasury Data & Reporting. While the primary role for this position is to oversee Treasury matters for the Korea entity, the successful candidate will also gain exposure to Asia ex Japan regional and Global Treasury agendas.

 

Role Description

Reporting directly to Korea CFO locally and to Asia ex-Japan Head of Liquidity Management functionally, the VP, Treasury Specialist will oversee liquidity, funding, and risk management for Nomura’s Korea entity while collaborating with regional and global Treasury teams. The role involves optimizing funding strategies, managing capital activities, and ensuring regulatory compliance, with significant exposure to senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk, and Business divisions.

 

A significant portion of the role involves working directly with senior stakeholders across the business, finance, operations and risk to ensure continuous dialogue and review of all matters relevant to Treasury.
