Sephora SEA’s omni channel business spans over 8 countries (Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand) with 100+ stores and boasts some global flagships such as ION and Raffles City in Singapore, F88 in Kuala Lumpur and Pitt Street in Sydney. Sephora SEA is experiencing rapid growth in the region with new store openings and business channels (i.e., Click and collect and marketplace).
Vice President, Retail Excellence
We are looking for a Vice President, Retail Excellence to partner with our Southeast Asia leadership team in driving organisational transformation and growth across a diverse range of markets. This role is part of the leadership team of the SEA region, reports to the Regional Managing Director SEA and works closely with the leadership teams of all the markets in the scope.

Retail Excellence and Client Experience
- Defining and implementing a Retail Excellence framework that sets the standard for Sephora stores across the region
- Leading initiatives that elevate the Sephora in-store experience through exceptional client service and beauty expertise, high store energy and culture, discovery-led product storytelling (beauty services and consultations, clienteling and member engagement, seamless omnichannel integration)
- Ensuring Sephora stores consistently deliver the iconic Sephora experience that differentiates the brand globally
Commercial Store Performance
- Collaborating with the local markets to drive strong retail productivity across the region through disciplined retail management
- Setting up and developing for growth – sales productivity per store and per sqm, conversion rate and average basket value, category performance in stores, clienteling-driven sales, omnichannel services such as Click & Collect and digital engagement
- Partnering closely with Merchandising, Marketing and Digital teams to ensure stores maximize commercial opportunities
Store Leadership and Field Organization
- Leading the regional retail organization and building a high-performance culture within the retail network – focusing on store manager capability and leadership development, talent retention and engagement, performance management, beauty advisor productivity and expertise
Visual Merchandising and Store Image
- Overseeing visual merchandising and store image strategy, ensuring Sephora stores remain inspiring beauty destinations and reflect Sephora’s global brand standards
- Overseeing visual merchandising strategy and execution, store presentation and product storytelling, brand visibility and product launches in stores, window and in-store displays, visual merchandising compliance across markets
- Ensuring visual execution enhances both brand storytelling and commercial impact
Retail Technology Integration
- Leading the deployment and adoption of retail technology solutions that enhance both the client experience and store productivity – clienteling tools for Beauty Advisors, digital tools supporting consultations and services, omnichannel retail capabilities, in-store technology innovation
- Partnering closely with Technology, Marketing and Digital teams to ensure retail technology enables Sephora’s omnichannel ecosystem
Beauty Advisor Capability and Sephora University Partnership
- Partnering closely with Sephora University to elevate Beauty Advisor capability and leadership development across the region – mystery shopping, service standards and selling excellence, clienteling skills and member engagement, store leadership capability development, career progression pathways within retail
- Ensuring Sephora stores are staffed with the most knowledgeable and inspiring beauty advisors in the market
Brand and Category Execution in Stores
- Partnering with Merchandising and Marketing teams to ensure best-in-class execution of brand launches, category storytelling, in-store activations and events, brand visibility and product discovery
- Maintaining Sephora’s position as the most exciting beauty destination in every market
We would love to hear from you if you are/have…
- At least 15 years of retail leadership experience
- Experience leading large store networks across multiple markets
- Experience in beauty, fashion or premium specialty retail preferred
- Proven track record improving store productivity and customer experience
- Inspirational field leadership
- Strong commercial acumen
- Passion for customer experience and brand storytelling
- Ability to build high-energy retail cultures
- Experience operating in complex regional environments
