Position Summary

We have a current vacancy for a Naval Engineering Maintenance (NEM) Liaison.

Embedded within the Fleet Engineering Readiness (FER) section of the Royal Canadian Navy, the Naval Engineering Maintenance (NEM) Liaison serves as the primary Point of Contact (POC) between relevant coastal organizations for the iterative development of Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessel (AOPV) and Joint Support Ship (JSS) Fleet Service Schedules. The NEM Liaison prioritizes deficiencies and manages their rectification schedule for all AOPV and JSS In-Service Support (AJISS) coastal platforms. As a representative of Thales on the AJISS Assignment Team (AAT), the NEM Liaison is responsible for coordinating among all AJISS stakeholders for the allocation, prioritization, disposition, and reporting of deficiencies from notification to closeout. Reporting to the Coastal Operations Manager, the NEM Liaison tracks and reports on Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics related to Service Delivery.

Special Position Requirements

Physical Environment:  Office or onboard Naval ships alongside in harbor, or at sea, therefore must meet all federal government requirements to access Canadian government facilities, including naval dockyards.

Travel: Occasional domestic or international travel will be required, which will include access to government facilities and assets, including naval vessels

Customer Location Based or Site Visits: Required to visit shipyards and Naval Dockyards during Work Periods.

This role will be required to support on call service – evenings and weekends may be required.

The reference Total Target Compensation (TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between Total Target Cash (TTC) $100,000- $125,000 CAD Annual.

This reflects how companies in a similar industry and geographic region generally pay for similar jobs. This range helps the Company make pay decisions as one data point among many. Where a position falls within this range is also dependent on other factors including – but not limited to – the employee’s career path history, competencies, skills and performance, as well as the company’s annual salary budget, the customer’s program requirements, and the company’s internal equity. Thales may offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s status protected by local, state, or federal law.
