Manager, Statutory Reporting (2 year direct contract)

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead and prepare regulatory returns for Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules for annual filings.
- Participate in HKFRS 17 closing processes, including data validation, reconciliation, and stakeholder coordination.
- Prepare internal management reports and conduct detailed financial analysis.
- Liaise with external auditors on annual audit processes and related matters.
- Support other regulatory filings and reporting basis as required.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects, system enhancements, and continuous process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in insurance auditing or insurance accounting.
- Proven experience in regulatory reporting and compliance within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Familiarity with BMA regulations and HKFRS 17 is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and fluent in English.
- Knowledge of Alteryx, Power BI, and AI tools for data analysis and reporting is a plus.
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Assistant Accounting Manager position.
