Your work profile

The Senior Product Owner is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering product enhancements and strategic initiatives across payment processing platforms and related operational capabilities. The role bridges business, operations, technology, risk, and compliance functions to ensure products and services are customer-focused, operationally efficient, compliant with regulatory requirements, and aligned with organizational strategy.

The successful candidate will drive product vision, roadmap execution, operational readiness, stakeholder engagement, and end-to-end product lifecycle management while ensuring solutions deliver measurable business and customer value.

Product Strategy & Roadmap

Develop and execute a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with organizational objectives and digital transformation goals.
Drive the evolution of payment solutions and services to meet changing customer, business, and regulatory requirements.
Promote standardization and consistency in payment processing and operating models across markets and business units wherever feasible.
Prioritize product investments and enhancements based on customer needs, business value, operational benefits, and risk considerations.
Identify opportunities to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, automation, and straight-through processing (STP).

Stakeholder Management

Partner with business, operations, technology, risk, compliance, and customer-facing teams to align product priorities and delivery objectives.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensure effective communication throughout the product lifecycle.
Facilitate discussions and decision-making across cross-functional teams.
Challenge existing processes and practices where improvements can enhance customer outcomes, operational efficiency, or scalability.
Balance competing stakeholder priorities while maintaining alignment to strategic objectives.

Product Lifecycle Management

Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation and requirements definition through delivery, launch, and ongoing optimization.
Define product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success measures.
Work closely with delivery teams to ensure product features are developed and implemented in line with business objectives.
Manage product backlogs and ensure delivery teams remain focused on the highest-value initiatives.
Evaluate product performance continuously and identify opportunities for enhancement.

Customer-Centric Product Development

Collaborate closely with customers, business teams, and operational stakeholders to understand evolving needs, challenges, and opportunities.
Translate customer feedback and business requirements into actionable product enhancements.
Ensure solutions are designed to improve customer experience, usability, reliability, and scalability.
Advocate for customer outcomes throughout the product development lifecycle.

Regulatory, Risk & Compliance Management

Ensure all regulatory, mandatory, and business-driven changes are appropriately defined, prioritized, developed, tested, and implemented.
Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Governance teams to ensure adherence to applicable regulations, policies, and standards.
Ensure product changes incorporate appropriate controls, monitoring, reporting, and risk mitigation measures.
Maintain awareness of industry trends, regulatory developments, and market practices relevant to payments and financial services.

Operational Readiness & Change Integration

Engage operational teams early during the requirements and design phases to ensure alignment and preparedness for change.
Provide ongoing visibility of proposed solutions, delivery timelines, and operational impacts.
Ensure operational teams have a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end process changes and customer implications.
Drive consistency in operating models by ensuring procedures, training materials, and support documentation are updated and embedded effectively.
Ensure solutions minimize disruption to business-as-usual operations while improving efficiency, automation, and service quality.
Validate that operational considerations are incorporated into solution design, including:
Monitoring and alerting requirements
Reporting and management information needs
Incident and exception handling processes
Day-one operational support requirements
Risk and control obligations

Performance Management & Reporting

Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for products and enhancements.
Measure business value realization, customer outcomes, operational performance, and product adoption.
Prepare regular status updates and performance reports for senior stakeholders.
Use data-driven insights to recommend product improvements and strategic investments.

Post-Implementation Support

Act as an escalation point for significant issues during post-implementation support periods.
Monitor production performance and validate expected business and operational outcomes.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives based on lessons learned and stakeholder feedback.
Partner with operational and technology teams to resolve issues and optimize product performance.
