Services Support Associate II, India Payroll Operations

Work you'll do
As a Services Support Associate II, Payroll on the Financial Services Group – Payroll and Personnel Solutions team, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating with stakeholders to obtain timely and accurate payroll inputs.
- Collating, validating, and reviewing payroll inputs for employees in line with firm policies and guidelines.
- Validating payroll reports and reconciling payroll data with master files.
- Supporting audit, tax compliance, financial reporting, and payroll documentation activities.
- Monitoring payroll and statutory updates and helping improve payroll processes and controls.
The team
This position is a part of Deloitte Consulting India Pvt Ltd, within the Financial Services Group – Payroll and Personnel Solutions service line. In the India paying team, the responsibilities assigned are in support of India Payroll activities of the Deloitte India offices across four locations - Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Gurgaon.
Location: Hyderabad
Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM
Qualifications
Required:
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in Accounting.
- 1-3 years of experience in India payroll processing, payroll accounting, data maintenance, and regulatory compliances.
- Knowledge of India tax and statutory compliances.
- Experience validating payroll reports and reconciling payroll data with master files.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications and SAP.
- Experience preparing process documentation and supporting payroll controls.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting audit, tax compliance, or financial reporting activities.
- Knowledge of auditing and internal control standards.
- Experience preparing management reporting or ad hoc payroll reports.
