A Day in the Life
Reporting directly to the Global Head of Litigation, Risks and Insurance, you will be a cornerstone of our newly established Litigation department and work in close coordination with the risk and insurance team. This is a unique opportunity to shape our global litigation strategy and build the function from the ground up, working with a high degree of autonomy and impact.
- Strategic Reporting & Governance: You will manage our global litigation reporting tool (Lit-On) and prepare high-level presentations on significant legal disputes for the Audit Committee, providing critical visibility to senior leadership.
- Global Litigation Community Animation: You will be responsible for animating our worldwide litigation community, fostering collaboration, sharing best practices, and creating a cohesive global network of legal experts.
- Complex & International Litigation Management: You will handle litigations involving the parent company, provide support on significant cases involving subsidiaries, and manage insurance coverage disputes in partnership with our insurance team.
- External Counsel Coordination: You will manage and coordinate external counsel to ensure optimal performance and outcomes.
- Process Development: You will play a crucial role in structuring the department by defining processes with other entities and other functions (RASCI), supporting alternative dispute resolution projects
- Awareness: you will support awareness initiatives on topics in order to improve the legal and compliance culture within the Group (presentations on product liability litigation in the US and Europe, confidentiality / legal privilege, communication in writing, etc.).
We Are Looking For
We are seeking a seasoned legal professional with a builder's mindset and the ability to thrive in a developing environment. You are a true business partner who can manage complex cases while simultaneously building the processes and community that will define our future litigation practice. You have:
- A 8-12 year experience in litigation and/or arbitration gained within a law firm. Prior in-house experience is a plus.
- The ability to navigate complex legal challenges and manage multiple international stakeholders with ease.
- A collaborative spirit with strong business acumen and an interest in process optimization.
- The strategic vision to develop transversal legal approaches and the pragmatism to find well-adapted operational solutions.
- Irreproachable ethics, intellectual rigor, and the dynamism to succeed in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Fluency in both English and French is essential for this role.
