Position: Retail Design Team Manager – Dr.G DMI
 
 As a retail design team manager, you will lead the in-house retail design function and oversee all offline and spatial brand experiences. This role is responsible for translating brand strategy into compelling physical environments across retail, pop-ups, and shopper touchpoints, ensuring design excellence, brand consistency, and operational feasibility across all global executions.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

• Retail & Spatial Design Leadership

• Lead the articulation and implementation of visual merchandising, retail shelving, and in-store fixture design.
• Oversee the end-to-end design of pop-up stores, event spaces, and temporary brand installations.
• Design and guide the shopper journey and experience across all offline touchpoints to enhance brand engagement.
  
  

• Offline Brand Assets & Execution 

• Develop the design direction for in-store graphics, and all offline brand visuals.
• Oversee the design and production of gift boxes, PR kits, and other physical brand materials.
• Act as the primary guardian of brand consistency across all physical executions and spatial environments. 
  
  

• Team & Project Management

• Manage and mentor a team of 1 in-house retail designer, providing creative direction and professional development.
• Own the entire project lifecycle, including brief creation, timeline management, budget oversight, and vendor coordination.
• Review and elevate design outputs from the initial concept phase through to final execution and installation.
  
  

• Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Content, Communication, Social, Creative, Product Innovation, Sales teams to ensure design alignment with commercial and global objectives.
• Communicate design intent clearly to internal stakeholders and external production partners.
• Balance creative innovation with commercial reality, ensuring all designs are operationally feasible.
• Represent the retail design function in communication meetings with zones, countries, and key stakeholders.

WHO YOU ARE

• Education: University Graduate
• Years of Experience: 10+ years retail design, spatial design or VMD. Experience in beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or FMCG preferred.
• Experience:
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale retail environments, pop-ups, or significant offline brand projects.
  • Strong understanding of shopper experience & spatial storytelling, ability to translate brand identity into physical spaces.
  • Excellent project management ability; able to oversee projects from concept to production and final installation.
  • Experience working with creative agencies and production vendors.
  • Prior experience managing designers or leading a creative design team is preferred.
  • A creative, innovative, and results-driven mindset with global or regional brand experience being a plus.)
• Languague: Fluent in English is a must.
• Portfolio submission is required, demonstrating expertise in retail, spatial, or offline brand design.
