Your role
We are seeking an economist to lead our global research and analysis on macroeconomics, monetary policy, interest rates, and foreign exchange.
Key responsibilities include preparing reports and presentation materials on macroeconomic and financial market developments; delivering presentations to retail and institutional investors, financial institutions, and the media; and providing clear explanations and interpretive support during client meetings.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities, with the proven ability to convey complex information effectively in both English and Japanese.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of macroeconomic trends, monetary policy, interest rates, and foreign exchange in Japan and globally
- Prepare reports and presentation materials for both internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver presentations to retail and institutional investors, financial institutions, and the media
- Provide clear explanations and interpretation support during client meetings
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as an economist
- Deep understanding of macroeconomics and financial markets
- Native-level proficiency in Japanese and business-level or higher proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Certified Member Analyst of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan (CMA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
