Join the Tax Operations Department in Geneva, the Group’s centre of expertise for operational tax. We support private clients with comprehensive tax reporting, ensuring the Bank’s compliance with global tax regulations (FATCA/QI, CRS, Swiss and EU tax rules) and maintaining strong relationships with tax authorities.
The Tax Reporting team is responsible for producing tax statements for private clients, managing transactional taxes (such as stamp duty, withholding tax, and financial transaction taxes), and serving as a key point of contact for complex tax-related queries.
Your role
• Manage daily activities related to the production of French, UK, and Spanish tax statements.
• Perform quality controls on financial data, corporate actions and other tax related processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
• Test new features and conduct non-regression testing on our tax reporting tools.
• Update and maintain procedures and documentation relevant to our activities.
• Analyse incoherent tax treatment, assess the root cause and implement mitigating actions.
• Communicate proactively with Front Office in case of important changes and complex tax queries.
• Collaborate with other operational and IT teams to ensure correct tax treatment of transactions and continuous process improvement.
• Accompany the evolution of new products and services, and identify how tax tools need to be adapted to ensure correct tax treatment.
Your profile
• 5 years’ experience in the banking or financial services sector, ideally in an operational or tax reporting role; or as an auditor; or as an expert in AI improvement.
• Proven experience in producing and performing quality control of tax statements or other financial reporting.
• Advanced user of the MS Office suite; experience with tax reporting tools is an asset.
• Strong understanding of financial products and their tax implications.
• Demonstrated interest in process improvement and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
• Rigorous, methodical and detailed-oriented approach to work.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills,
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team, even under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Fluency in French and an excellent command of English are required; Spanish would be an asset.
• Tech‑savvy and comfortable working with AI tools and data.
• Must be a resident of Switzerland.
