Role Title: Senior Risk Assurance Specialist

Location:  AIB Group, 10 Molesworth Street, Dublin 2, D02 R126 / Central Park, Block H, Leopardstown, Dublin 18

Hybrid Working – 3 days per week in the office – Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday

 

 

 

What is the Role

The Risk Function in AIB is an independent, second line of defence function that monitors, controls and supports risk-taking activities across AIB.  The purpose of the Risk Function is to provide advice and guidance in relation to risk while providing independent oversight and reporting on AIB’s risk profile.

Risk Assurance and Validation (RAV) is a Second Line of Defence Assurance function led by the Head of RAV within Risk and provides independent assurance and model validation to protect the Bank, safeguard its customers and build a sustainable future. The team promotes continuous improvement in risk management and a positive risk culture, with opportunities to engage senior stakeholders and gain broad experience across the Bank. We invest in our people by empowering colleagues, cultivating talent and supporting professional development.

Financial Risk Assurance is a dynamic team within RAV, providing independent assurance over material risks, frameworks, policies and controls across the Group, including subsidiaries. The team supports senior management and Board reporting by delivering evidence-based reviews, constructive challenge and practical insights that help strengthen control environments and mitigate material risks, including financial risk, capital adequacy risk, funding and liquidity risk, and market and equity risk.
