In this role you will be responsible for:
- Reporting to the General Manager – Western Mines Kroondal, the incumbent will be responsible for providing a dedicated overall Mining service to Kroondal.
- Championing continuous improvement initiatives
- Have an exceptional commitment towards ensuring that departmental HSEC objectives are met.
- Ensure that production targets are met according to specified standards, policies, and procedures.
- Effective planning of short- and medium-term production activities to ensure optimum utilization of resources.
- Financial expenditure within agreed parameters
- Ensure that materials and supplies are available for production processes.
- Maintaining discipline within agreed parameters, policies, and procedures
- Complying with legal requirements
About you:
- Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency for Metalliferous Mines
- 5 Years’ experience in a management position at an underground metalliferous mine
- Previous trackless mining experience will be advantageous.
- Ability to work successfully as part of a diverse team.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Managing mine team optimization
- Managing mine employee relations
- Good communication skills
- Managing mine administration
- Strong leadership, managerial and presentation skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
- Medically fit to work underground.
