Experienced Associated Director leading the Market Data Inventory team, responsible for the governance, control, and optimization of market data assets across global entities. Oversee end-to-end inventory management, contract compliance, and financial reporting to ensure accurate cost allocation and regulatory adherence. Lead a team responsible for managing market data inventory and drive operational excellence by improving inventory accuracy and streamlining processes. Partner closely with Commercial Team, Invoice Processing Team, Servicer Request Team, Business stakeholders, external vendor to resolve complex updates. Champion continuous process improvements, automation activities and data quality enhancements while ensuring compliance with internal policies and service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
Vendor & Product Management
• Assist with vendor communications for day-to-day operational matters (user lists, entitlement confirmations, service issues) and track actions to completion.
• Support contract and renewal administration by maintaining key dates, product details, and licensing/usage documentation.
• Contribute to evaluations of new data sources/tools by collecting user feedback, summarising features, and documenting expected use cases.
Business
Business Partnering
• Act as a point of contact for users for market data-related queries (access, entitlement changes, usage guidance) and follow up to closure.
• Gather and document business requirements, translating them into clear requests for vendors and internal support teams.
• Support periodic engagement with stakeholders by preparing usage/cost summaries and identifying opportunities to optimise platform usage.
Processes
Market Data Lifecycle Support
• Support the end-to-end market data subscription lifecycle including request intake, onboarding, entitlement setup, renewals, and service rationalisation activities.
• Coordinate with Technology & Operations to support provisioning, desktop/application access, and basic troubleshooting or escalation.
Risk Management
Compliance & Risk Management
• Support adherence to vendor licensing terms by maintaining entitlement records and assisting with periodic internal reviews and vendor attestation/audit requests.
• Escalate potential licensing or control issues promptly to management and relevant control partners (e.g. Legal, Compliance, Finance).
Governance
Data Governance
• Assist with cost allocation and chargeback inputs by maintaining mapping of services to business units/cost centres.
• Prepare recurring management information (MI) packs and ad hoc reporting on subscriptions, usage, and spend drivers.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Min 8 years of relevant experience
• In charge of market data inventory system
• Strong knowledge of market data services, setup of products, cost allocations of product
• Experience in external reporting to exchanges and vendors, understands the concept of data compliance best practices
• Effective stakeholder management
• Good analytical skills required
• Strong communications skills verbal and written
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel)
