Tax Consultant II - SDT

The Technical Writer – In‑Platform Learning (Intela) will help create, maintain, and operationally manage learning assets for Intela, Deloitte’s enterprise tax platform. This role supports each scheduled Intela release by converting demos, recordings, and product walkthroughs into clear, task‑based user guides and video scripts.

The role is execution-focused and process-driven: the writer is responsible for content from initial intake through review, publishing, and post-release validation, while keeping work tracked in Microsoft Planner across defined release stages. This role requires a high degree of independence, operational rigor, and ownership across the full learning asset lifecycle.

Work you’ll do

As a Technical writer on the Service Delivery and Transformation (SDT) team, you will be responsible for:

• Content Development & Maintenance
  • driven functionality updates.

  • Help produce and maintain:
    • Microsoft Word user guides with clear steps, screenshots, formatting, and troubleshooting/known issues as applicable.
    • screen actions, callouts, and timing cues).
    • SnagIt screen captures and recordings to support documentation and script development.
• Information Gathering & Validation
  • throughs, Demo recordings, Draft “What’s coming up in Intela” materials and release previews.
  • Ask clarifying questions, identify gaps, and validate product behavior before finalizing content.
• Planning, Storyboarding & Iteration
  • Storyboard and outline content before drafting.
  • Draft, revise, and iterate content based on peer, product, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Ensure documentation reflects the correct environment, release version, and functionality.
• Review, Workflow & Publishing Execution
  • Execute and document the full review and publishing workflow using Microsoft Planner, including:
    • Planning: capture requirements, open questions, dependencies, and required demo artifacts
    • Storyboard (Draft): develop guides and supporting assets
    • Peer Review: coordinate and incorporate peer feedback
    • Product Owner Review: request review, track outreach, and document status
    • Learning Design Services: package and hand off final assets for publishing
    • Help Page Review: review published content for accuracy, formatting and link integrity and route revisions as needed
• Operational Rigor & Documentation
  • Maintain strong Planner card hygiene, including:
    • Status updates and handoffs
    • Key decisions and approvals
    • Risks, blockers, and dependencies
    • Product issues or defects with clear reproduction steps and impact descriptions
  • Ensure consistency in terminology, formatting, and adherence to established templates, standards, and the Intela learning process.
  • Support reporting and tracking through the Learning Asset Inventory.

Key Deliverables

• Updated or new Microsoft Word user guides with current screenshots.
• Updated or new Microsoft Word video scripts with screen captures prepared for Camtasia production.
• Organized SnagIt recordings and annotated captures.
• Complete Microsoft Planner card documentation showing lifecycle status, reviews, approvals, and publishing handoffs.
• Collaboration with ‘Learning Design Services’ team for publishing to Intela Help.
• Accurate updates to reporting and the Learning Asset Inventory.

The Team

Deloitte Tax LLP's Tax Transformation Office (TTO) is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of innovative, enterprise technology, tools, and standard processes to support the delivery of tax services. The TTO team focuses on supporting Deloitte Tax LLP’s ability to provide comprehensive, value-added, and efficient tax services to its clients. It is a dynamic team with professionals of varying backgrounds from tax technical, technology development, change management, Six Sigma, and project management. The team consults and executes  a wide range of initiatives involving support to process and tool development and implementation including training development, engagement management, tool design, and implementation.

Work Location: Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM IST

Required Experience & Skills

• Full time Graduation degree BBA, B. Com.
• 3+ years (typical) of technical writing experience for software platforms or enterprise tools.

• Strong systems aptitude and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Strong Microsoft Word production skills (styles, structured formatting, tables, callouts, image handling).
• on experience capturing and annotating visuals, including:
  • SnagIt (screen capture, screen recording, basic markup)
  • produced videos (editing experience not required)
