The Opportunity

As a Security Threat Analysis Expert, you will play a critical role in strengthening ING's cybersecurity posture by identifying, analyzing, and assessing emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and risks.

Working closely with Global Security Operations, Technology, Risk, and Compliance teams, you'll transform threat intelligence into actionable insights that enable effective risk management and informed security decisions.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced cybersecurity professional who enjoys combining technical expertise, analytical thinking, and stakeholder engagement in a global environment.

What You'll Do

Threat Intelligence & Analysis

• Monitor and analyze the evolving cyber threat landscape.
• Identify emerging threats, attack trends, and threat actor activities.
• Assess tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) using frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• Produce actionable threat intelligence and risk insights.

Cyber Risk Assessment

• Evaluate security risks, vulnerabilities, and attack scenarios.
• Identify control weaknesses and potential business impacts.
• Support threat-informed prioritization and remediation activities.

Security Monitoring & Incident Support

• Collaborate with Security Operations teams on investigations and incident response.
• Perform root cause analysis of significant security incidents.
• Enhance detection capabilities through improved use cases and monitoring strategies.

Security Advisory & Governance

• Support compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert security guidance to stakeholders and technology teams.
• Contribute to security assessments, audits, and risk reviews.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Deliver security briefings, intelligence reports, and risk insights.
• Translate technical findings into business-relevant recommendations.
• Act as a trusted advisor on cybersecurity threats and trends.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in:
  • Cybersecurity
  • Threat Intelligence
  • Security Operations
  • Cyber Risk Management
• Experience working within complex enterprise or global environments.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the financial services industry.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and security monitoring tools.

Preferred Certifications

• CISSP
• CISM
• CEH
• ECIH
