Position Summary

The Vice President, SEC Reporting is a senior leader within the Corporate Accounting function responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of the Company’s public reporting obligations. The Vice President partners closely with the Consolidations team, FP&A, Investor Relations, and internal and external legal counsel to oversee the preparation of 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks, earnings presentations, and the annual proxy statement. The Vice President serves on the firm’s Disclosure Committee and prepares materials for the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, serving as a key liaison between the accounting function and senior leadership and the Board.

The Vice President is responsible for evaluating new and proposed U.S. GAAP and SEC pronouncements to assess the impact on Carlyle’s public disclosures and periodically reviewing disclosures across the firm (including the ’40 Act funds and the private funds) to ensure that disclosures are consistent across the firm. The Vice President also leads the team’s efforts to leverage technology and artificial intelligence to modernize the reporting process and drives continuous improvement in the efficiency and quality of the firm’s public disclosures.

This role requires strong relationships across Carlyle’s Finance, Legal, Investor Relations, and Fund Management organizations, as well as with the Company’s external auditors. The Vice President provides developmental leadership to one direct report, and is expected to contribute broadly to the Corporate Accounting function beyond the SEC reporting remit.

The compensation range for this role is specific to Washington, D.C. and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $170,000 to $190,000. 

In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs.  Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
