Analyst - Position Description
Carlyle Asia Buyout is looking to hire an Analyst position in our Seoul office.
This Analyst role will work closely with Carlyle Korea investment professionals as well as the team across Asia Buyout in Asia. The breadth of industries, the multiple types of investments and the overall deal volume will provide a unique opportunity to gain significant business, investment and analytical experience. The Analyst will benefit from the intensive high quality experience which will provide a solid foundation to pursue future career aspirations.
As a member of the Carlyle Korea deal team, the Analyst will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive research on targeted industries and companies for investment purposes.
- Performing extensive due diligence (financial, legal, tax, accounting, commercial, etc.) on potential investment opportunities and draft investment committee memos.
- Developing valuation models to assess the attractiveness of potential acquisition / investment targets.
- Managing portfolio companies post investment and prepare periodic reporting and presentation materials.
Position Qualifications
- At least 2 years experience as Analyst preferably in consulting, investment banking, Private Equity firms
- Experienced in financial modeling, and direct investment transaction skills
- Excellent communication skills both in written and spoken English and Korean
- Dedicated team player with a strong sense of ownership; eager to learn and work with others.
Education
- Undergraduate degree from a reputable and highly regarded institution
