An exciting opportunity to join our global Alternative Funds Team within the Transfer Agency Department as Vice President.
As Fund Servicing Transfer Agency AML/KYC Vice President, you will act as a member/Lead of a dedicated AML within the Transfer Agency Department whose primary responsibility will be to perform timely and efficient review and update of both new and existing Investor Anti-Money Laundering & Counter Terrorist Financing (AML/CTF) information and documentation, all with adherence to Regulatory and JPMorgan Group requirements.
Job responsibilities
Oversight of the AML/CFT framework within TA (Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey Luxembourg, Cayman and US Funds administered by JPM EMEA), ensuring it is comprehensive, robust and compliant with contractual and where relevant, regulatory obligations
Maintain AML/financial crime procedures and ensuring that updates can be transferred into workable operational procedures
Analysing existing and proposed legislation, regulatory announcements/changes and industry practices which may impact TA Operations
Liaison with local GFCC to support regulatory engagement (regulator requests etc.)
Reviewing/Approving new AML Service offerings or client change requests
Ensure a consistent and excellent client experience that supports the product, aligning to the operating model globally. i.e. differences relating to local requirements only.
Develop and apply best practice to the operating model(s) in place across Securities Services
Engage with existing and prospective clients to understand their requirements and to develop the service offering as appropriate
Partner with and act as an escalation point internally to GFS/CIB support functions e.g. BCM/OCM, Compliance, GFCC, Risk etc
Act as an escalation point for clients where required
Audit queries & action plan management — define remediation/action plans, establish success measures (KPIs), track completion through closure, and evidence sustainability of fixes.
AML QC/QA testing — execute quality control/assurance testing to maintain strong accuracy/quality rates across the team and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Clients DD and board presentation management
Case review support (maker/checker) — support AML casework by performing reviews as maker and/or checker, ensuring adherence to policy, procedures, and documentation standards.
Performance of periodic reviews, Investor trigger events, Investor static data requests ensuring investor information and documentation is kept up to date.
Assist in the identification of investors that may create money laundering or reputational risks.
Ensure that JPMorgan do not maintain relationships or facilitate transactions involving sanctioned countries, parties or individuals.
Ongoing vigilance in the Identification of potential suspicious activity including fraud and report to it to the JPM/Funds MLRO as appropriate.
Assist in the production of AML/CTF regulatory reports for clients and JPMorgan Group.
Continually proactively assess current procedures and work practices to identify potential operational inefficiencies and additional risk mitigation control requirements.
Understanding of Criminal Justice Act 2010 (as amended), and applicable Guidelines (e.g. CBI, IF, EBA, FATF)
To implement Transfer Agency procedures and systems relating to a diverse global investor base performing required investor AML / CTF reviews at time of Investor on-boarding.
Lead team and ensure of professional work environment.
Define and follow with the staff objectives, development plan-personal goals. (conduct regular 1/1 with the staff)
Participate in training support
KPIs/Dashboard/Metrics preparation and to present.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Five + years AML / CTF experience desirable in the financial services industry with exposure to globally diverse investor base, preferably with direct Transfer Agency experience
Good understanding of EU, CI, Cayman regulation such as Criminal Justice Act 2010 (as amended) as it relates to Risk Assessments and general understanding of regulatory requirements for Jersey & Cayman Funds administered by JPM EMEA, ensuring it is comprehensive, robust and compliant with contractual and where relevant, regulatory obligations
Strong analytical, organisational skills with operational and risk awareness mindset, escalation and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, ability to assist in coaching team members
Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to act on own initiative within team environment to proactively identify, own and progress tasks to be undertaken.
