Are you passionate about managing liquidity and optimizing treasury operations in a dynamic, multi-currency environment? We are seeking a skilled Treasury Analyst to ensure efficient cash and liquidity management, risk management and banking compliance across TotalEnergies’ operations in Malaysia.
Activities
Your Impact
As a key member of the Finance team, you will:
- Manage and monitor daily cash positions and short-term funding requirements.
- Perform cash flow forecasting and variance analysis to ensure liquidity and identify trends and anomalies.
- Monitor and facilitate intercompany loan transactions, loan interest payments, banking facilities and dividend payments.
- Identify short term FX needs from payment schedules and execute FX deals in line with company policy to manage foreign exchange risk.
- Handle bank accounts administration including bank signatories’ updates, KYC compliance, bank account opening/closing and preparation of all supporting documents to the bank.
- Maintain accurate SAP postings for all treasury transactions and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, treasury policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Bank Negara Malaysia).
- Liaise with bankers and auditors on treasury-related matters.
- Identify and implement process improvements and contribute to effective Treasury operations.
Candidate Profile
What We Are Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; professional certification (e.g., ACT, CFA) is a plus.
- 7–9 years of proven treasury experience.
- Strong knowledge of treasury operations, FX markets, and banking instruments.
- Proficiency in SAP, Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and Excel-based modelling.
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage transversal teams in a dynamic environment.
This role is for a fixed-term contract with an opportunity for renewal or absorbed into a permanent position.
