Within the One Tech Branch, a key pillar of the Company’s transformation, you will join the Offshore Solutions and Technology Research team within the Technologies entity. You will play a key role in steering research and technology activities related to electrical control systems and subsea production equipment.
Your expertise will directly contribute to validating innovative technology choices for complex and strategic projects.
This position can be based in Pau or in La Défense.
Activities
As a Senior Subsea Systems & Technology Deployment lead, your main responsibilities will include:
Explore and Shape Future Technologies
- Identify innovative and robust solutions through in-depth expertise in subseasystems (control, electrical, power), subsea production equipment and emerging subsea technologies.
- Maintain technology benchmarking activities (market trends, engineering practices, technologies).
- Contribute to the assessment of their potential value through techno-economic studies, including opportunities to reduce costs and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
- Assess, qualify, and support the industrialization and deployment of innovations.
Lead relevant R&D Programs
- Lead Research & Technology projects (schedule, deliverables, budget, contractual requirements, and dissemination of results).
- Define and drive the technology qualification roadmap and the annual budget preparation (N+1).
- Coordinate teams involving internal experts and external partners.
- Contribute to subsea systems technology strategy and vision.
Accelerate Technology Deployment
- Organize and manage the technology qualification process, and ensure effective handover to industrial entities.
- Coordinate industrial pilot phases when required.
- Act as an internal interface for the deployment of new technologies into studies and projects.
- Share knowledge (mentoring, training, documentation).
Solve Complex Technical Challenges
- Provide expert guidance on subsea systems and production equipment.
- Support strategic project decisions through creativity and robust technical analyses, while integrating HSE and operability requirements.
- Ensure high-quality technical reporting.
- Ensure compliance with costs, timelines, and contractual commitments.
Develop Knowledge and Influence the Industry
- Represent TotalEnergies in strategic industry initiatives and collaborative programs.
- Collaborate with the industry ecosystem: IOC, NOC, suppliers, and research centers.
- Develop and maintain a strong professional network (partners, competitors, suppliers).
- Improve internal methodologies and publish technical work (conferences, articles).
Candidate Profile
You hold an engineering degree or a PhD and have at least 15 years of experience in subsea systems (electrical, control, power distribution) and subsea equipment.
Tou demonstrate a strong interest in new technologies.
Your expertise is internationally recognized.
You demonstrate strong influencing, negotiation, and communication skills. You are autonomous and proactive.
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
