About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Engineer in technology as part of Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT). This candidate will join our Commodities Technology team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a business-critical trading platform supporting global Commodities Sales & Trading. This is a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of technology, trading, pricing, and risk, building innovative solutions that directly influence decision-making across the front and middle office.

As a senior technical leader and recognized subject matter expert, you will drive architecture, engineering standards, and technology strategy across a portfolio of Commodities platforms. You will design and deliver highly scalable, resilient, and low-latency solutions supporting the end-to-end trading lifecycle—from trade capture and pricing through risk management, regulatory reporting, and downstream processing.

You will partner closely with traders, quantitative analysts, product managers, and engineering teams to solve complex business challenges while helping modernize the Commodities technology landscape. The platforms you influence are central to the firm's trading capabilities and support critical functions across Front Office, Risk, and Operations.

This is a high-visibility opportunity to join a growing technology organization supporting a Commodities business undergoing significant expansion and investment.

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$159,000.00 - $305,000.00
