Activities
Trade Management & Validation
- Manage a diverse portfolio of trading counterparts, ensuring accurate and timely support across all activities.
- Verify traders’ deal sheets and electronic reports for all transactions entered into the in‑house trading system (BOOK).
- Confirm daily trades with counterparts and brokers, ensuring BOOK reflects complete and accurate trade data.
- Monitor and validate exchange‑traded positions, limits, and exposures.
- Perform daily trade checks by reconciling confirmations/recaps against BOOK entries and resolving discrepancies promptly.
Settlements, Invoicing & Reconciliation
- Issue invoices to counterparts within industry and contractual deadlines.
- Reconcile counterpart and pipeline invoices in partnership with Operations and Middle Office, resolving discrepancies efficiently.
- Agree settlements, provide timely payment instructions, and deliver accurate cash‑forecasting information to Treasury.
- Support Accounting with aged debt reporting, accrual analysis, and issue resolution.
- Apply payment terms and netting rules within Simba and Contract Management systems.
- Analyze settlement statements in Simba SMS to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Confirmations & Documentation
- Review and distribute incoming/outgoing confirmations generated by the BOOK Confirmation Module or third parties.
- Record confirmations in BOOK and follow up on outstanding items daily.
- Analyze confirmations and settlements for pricing and volume adjustments.
- Partner with IT to expand automation of confirmation workflows.
Regulatory & Market Monitoring
- Monitor and report financial OTC trades to regulators (Dodd‑Frank) within required 24‑hour timelines.
- Track market developments and regulatory initiatives, assessing impacts on settlement, reconciliation, and reporting processes.
- Maintain compliance with audit and regulatory standards through accurate and current process documentation.
Counterpart Onboarding & Support
- Lead the onboarding process for new trading counterparts, ensuring all documentation and system setup requirements are met.
- Provide internal and external support on Trade Support inquiries.
- Mentor junior team members and offer cross‑team assistance as needed.
Projects, Reporting & Improvements
- Contribute to team and individual projects assigned by the Trade Support Manager or Supervisor.
- Produce management reports and conduct ad hoc analysis to support decision‑making.
- Support implementation of new products and markets, including audit‑aligned process documentation.
- Identify and execute process and system improvements, including system testing and desk‑level enhancements.
- Assess operational risks, define mitigation strategies, and set priorities accordingly.

Non‑Financial
- Operate within Back Office operations in Houston, as part of Global Risk Control, supporting both TGPNA and TGPL activities.
- Work across multiple product types, including natural gas, ethane, shale gas, LNG, and LPG, ensuring broad market and product coverage.
- Provide support and conduct testing for system developments and enhancements, contributing to continuous improvement and operational resilience.
- Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with regulatory obligations and audit standards.
- Contribute to recurring process‑improvement initiatives, system upgrades, automation efforts, and regulatory adaptation—often requiring cross‑functional collaboration with Risk, Operations, Treasury, and IT teams.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure timely, accurate processing of trade confirmations, invoicing, and payments in accordance with contractual and legal requirements.
- Perform daily integrity checks on the trading book by verifying entries and transactions against brokers, exchanges, and clearing entities.
- Identify and resolve verification discrepancies proactively, escalating issues when needed to mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risk.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with internal teams and external counterparts to maintain transparency, provide timely updates, and support collaborative problem‑solving.

Candidate Profile
Education
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Energy, or a related business discipline.
Industry Experience
- 2–3 years of experience in the Gas, LNG, or broader Energy markets, with a strong emphasis on data analysis.
- Working knowledge of energy commodity markets is highly desirable.
