As a Treasury Analyst at bp, you’ll play a key role in managing daily cash, supporting liquidity forecasting, and ensuring effective banking operations. Your work will help optimize cash flow and support financial resilience—critical to bp’s strategy of delivering value through disciplined financial management and enabling the energy transition. This is a high-impact role where precision and insight directly support bp’s performance and growth ambitions.

Key Outcomes & Accountabilities

• Daily Cash Position: Ensure accurate and timely cash positioning to support smooth business operations and maximize liquidity usage across all entities.
• Reliable Cash Flow Forecasts: Deliver accurate short- and medium-term cash forecasts that enable proactive decision-making and strategic planning.
• Strong Bank Relationships: Maintain effective communication with banking partners, ensuring favorable terms, smooth execution of transactions, and rapid resolution of issues.
• Efficient Treasury Reporting: Provide timely, clear, and insightful treasury reports that support financial leadership in managing risk, liquidity, and capital.
• Compliance & Control Assurance: Ensure treasury activities comply with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements, contributing to audit readiness and financial integrity.
• Value-Adding Insights: Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement in cash management, working capital, and treasury efficiency, contributing directly to cost savings and process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily cash balances and ensure adequate liquidity across accounts.
• Execute payments, transfers, and other treasury transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist in cash forecasting and analysis of cash flow trends.
• Support bank account administration and maintain strong relationships with banking partners.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and treasury policies.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting related to cash and debt positions.
• Participate in treasury-related projects and process improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in treasury, finance, or accounting.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with treasury systems is a plus.
• Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Fluency English.

• External: Banking partners, financial institutions, and audit teams.
