As our UI Designer, you would have the following responsibilities:
- Design pixel-perfect visual designs, interactive prototypes and UI elements for both our mobile/tablet (eg. KBC Mobile) and web platforms (eg. KBC Touch and KBC Business Dashboard), as briefed by a colleague UX designer;
- Implement accessibility guidelines (WCAG) to ensure that all users, including those with disabilities, can easily use the app and perform their job-to-be-done;
- Test your own creations during the sprint deliveries of ICT and you feel responsible for a high-quality UX and UI delivery to our users.
- Develop and maintain our design system to ensure consistent and scalable UI components. You describe the specifications and behaviour of the components in our digital styleguide and compose them in Figma;
- Work closely with your fellow UI and UX designers, but you also like to chat (of discuss) with a front-end developer, because after all, they take care of the final result of your creations;
- When necessary, you think along about the most optimal way of working (processes, tools, communications,…)
Key competences that will help you succeed:
- Proficiency in Figma and similar design and prototype tools;
- Experience in designing mobile applications;
- Knowledge of accessibility standards;
- Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite tools (XD; Illustrator; Photoshop etc.)
A significant advantage would be to have:
- Experience working on financial and banking applications;
- Expertise in iconography, illustration, motion design, with the ability to create engaging stories or subtle micro animation (After Effects, Lottie animations..)
You are a perfect fit for us if you:
- Have strong communication skills and are fluent in English;
- Hold at least a bachelor's degree or similar experience in one of the following fields: Digital Design, Multimedia, Product Design, etc.;
- Have excellent knowledge of the latest trends in (responsive) interface design;
- Work smoothly and have an eye for detail.
