What role will you play?
You will play a critical role in the operational ownership, enhancement, and continuous improvement of Macquarie’s authentication platforms, with a strong focus on Entra ID, hybrid identity, and secure application authentication. You will be hands-on and have strong technical depth, sound operational judgement, and the ability to work closely with application teams, security, and platform partners.What you offer
- Extensive, hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in Conditional Access design and troubleshooting.
- Deep understanding of SSO and modern authentication protocols: SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC)
- Strong experience with Multi‑Factor Authentication implementations.
- Solid working knowledge of Active Directory, including hybrid identity scenarios.
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills and experience with identity automation.
- Experience using Microsoft Graph / Entra APIs for operational and automation purposes.
- Experience with identity monitoring and logging using tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel, or Splunk.
- Ability to analyse authentication logs, tokens, and sign‑in telemetry to diagnose issues and assess risk.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, particularly for complex identity and authentication flows.
- Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non specialist stakeholders, including application teams.
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of critical authentication services in production environments.
