What role will you play?
We are seeking a Lead Engineer to contribute to the architecture and engineering efforts for our Open Payments Platform (OPP). This is a great opportunity for a seasoned engineer ready to take on their next challenge and to help build out our Payments future state.In this important role, you will contribute to the architectural vision and design of the Open Payments Platform, ensuring alignment with the evolving needs of our business. Reporting to the Principal Engineer, you will lead critical decisions and support a team of engineers towards improving reliability and operational excellence on the Platform.
Your hands-on approach will be instrumental in contributing to the best practice design of our Payment Platforms, ensuring the platform is highly performant, reliable, and built to scale. You will help cultivate a culture of learning and mastery within the engineering team, guiding and mentoring engineers on best practice design and implementation.
What you offer
- A proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale, high-performance Payment systems that are both robust and scalable.
- In-depth and expert level , hands-on experience working with Java and Spring boot (we are on the latest versions) with experience working with cloud technologies (Google Cloud). Hands on experience with NoSQL DB’s.
- Deep knowledge of micro services and event based architecture, design, and integration patterns.
- Solid understanding of how to build scalable, maintainable and performant payment orchestration across multiple channels.
- Strong understanding of security best practices for financial transactions and payments.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team with proven success at running complex engineering initiatives.
- Ability to drive key architecture and design decisions across a Platform.
- Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of the organisation
