What role will you play?
In this role, you’ll drive strategic payments initiatives, represent Macquarie in key industry forums, and shape the commercial development of new products. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to take ideas from concept to launch, while navigating regulatory requirements and identifying emerging opportunities in areas such as AI and next-generation payment technologies.What you offer
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with substantial (7+ years) experience in payment product management or strategic payments consulting.
- Deep expertise in the Australian payments landscape, industry regulations, and emerging payment infrastructure (e.g., NPP, PayTo, AP+ initiatives).
- Proven experience leading strategic engagements with external industry bodies, regulatory workgroups, and third-party vendors.
- An advanced commercial mindset, with a track record of owning strategic business cases, managing vendor agreements, and delivering large-scale, complex capabilities.
- Excellent executive stakeholder management, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and align senior leadership behind a unified payments vision.
- A forward-thinking mindset with an active interest in leveraging modern AI platforms (such as Claude and Gemini Enterprise) to optimise delivery and strategy creation.
