What role will you play?
In this senior position, you will drive the origination, structuring, and execution of complex agricultural commodity finance transactions, including structured credit facilities, pre-export and inventory financings, receivables and borrowing-base structures, securitizations, working capital solutions, and financial risk management products such as FX, interest rate, and commodity hedging instruments. You will work closely with trading, sales, legal, risk, and senior leadership teams to identify opportunities, assess and mitigate credit risk, and execute transactions end-to-end.You should bring a strong technical background in structured finance, commodity finance, or investments, with demonstrated expertise in client origination, credit underwriting, financial analysis, transaction structuring, documentation review supported by legal experts, and the development of creative, non-traditional financing solutions. The successful candidate will have a commercial mindset and the ability to navigate sophisticated, multi-jurisdictional transactions while balancing growth opportunities with prudent risk management.
This role offers a highly visible platform, significant client interaction, and potential for accelerated advancement into broader senior marketing, origination, financing, or trading-aligned leadership positions across Macquarie’s international offices.
What you offer
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in client coverage, agricultural commodity finance, tailored structured finance solutions, and credit risk, with a strong focus on the Brazilian market
- Proven expertise in financial analysis, credit underwriting, structuring, documentation, negotiation, and execution of complex debt or structured transactions
- Experience developing innovative financing solutions utilizing a broad range of financial instruments and risk management products
- Fluency in English and Portuguese, with strong knowledge of regulatory and market environments in Brazil
- Degree in quantitative or finance-related discipline (Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Agribusiness, or related fields preferred)
- Availability to travel regionally in Brazil and operate in a dynamic, fast-paced global commodities environment
- Previous usage of AI in working environments
