What role will you play?
You will contribute to a sophisticated credit risk management function within Equity Finance to safeguard and support the growth of the synthetic equity and securities financing business. You will help implement the credit risk strategy within a high-performing team.You will be responsible for monitoring and reporting credit risk exposures and margin adequacy across client portfolios and performing detailed credit analyses, assessing and mitigating credit risks associated primarily with our hedge fund clients. You will engage with external clients and counterparties, including senior contacts such as CIOs, COOs and Heads of Risk.
You will work closely with our Credit Risk team to support recommendations for onboarding, credit limits and margining agreements as well as act as a key point of contact for credit related matters with clients, counterparties and internal stakeholders.
What you offer
- 3+ years’ experience in a credit or market risk role, including exposure to the hedge fund client business and knowledge of equity swap and SFT products.
- Strong analytical skills in credit risk modelling, stress testing and scenario analysis.
- Python (or similar) coding skills to develop reporting and analytics.
- Familiarity with industry best credit practices across hedge fund reporting, margining and portfolio monitoring.
- Understanding of credit risk regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills for effective engagement with clients and internal stakeholders.
