What role will you play?
As a Software Engineer supporting Front Office trading, you will design, develop, and support real-time systems for our automated equity derivatives market-making platform, covering listed options and futures across Asian markets. You will work across the full trading lifecycle, including pricing, risk, market data, order management, and exchange execution, building systems that operate in a live front office trading environment. You will contribute to two key initiatives: developing performance-critical components for a very low latency execution solution co-located at HKEx, and modernising our warrants and ETOs market-making platform from Windows/.NET Framework to containerised .NET Core services running on Linux and Kubernetes. Working within a small, senior technology team, you will collaborate on architecture, testing, and production operations, while supporting the existing legacy platform during transition.
What you offer
- Proven software engineering experience building complex, real-time, or performance-critical systems, ideally within a trading or financial markets environment
- Strong C# and .NET development skills, preferably across server-side engineering, with Java backgrounds also considered
- Experience in a Front Office trading environment, ideally across connectivity, order management, execution systems, market-making platforms, or FIX protocol
- Familiarity with equity derivatives, including listed options and futures, pricing concepts, Greeks, risk, or market-making workflows
- Exposure to low-latency or high-throughput system design, particularly for core execution paths or trading systems
- Comfortable working across modern and legacy technology stacks, including Linux, containers, Kubernetes, and Windows/.NET Framework environments
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with Traders, QA, Compliance, Middle Office, and Support teams, and contribute to production stability and support
