The desk intermediates Italian and international equity securities on behalf of clients (asset management companies, family offices, treasury departments, pension funds, and foundations) as well as for the firm’s proprietary activities. The desk also executes arbitrage transactions for clients arising from corporate actions such as mergers, acquisitions, tender offers, rights issues, restructurings, and similar events. The team benefits from extensive industry expertise and advanced technological tools specifically designed to support its activities. In addition, the desk intermediates Italian and international derivatives, primarily equity-related instruments. Trading activities are conducted both on listed markets and in the OTC (Over-The-Counter) market. Transactions are executed through both agency execution services and proprietary trading activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of relationships with institutional clients, providing market insights, execution support, and trading ideas
- Execute equity and derivative transactions across Italian and international markets, ensuring high-quality service and adherence to best execution standards
- Assist clients on corporate action-related transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, tender offers, rights issues, and restructurings
- Monitor market developments, sector trends, and trading opportunities, contributing to the generation of value-added insights for clients
- Work closely with Research, Sales, Trading, and Investment Banking teams to deliver integrated client solutions
- Contribute to the growth of the franchise by strengthening existing client relationships and supporting business development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and market best practices
- 3 years of experience in an Equity, Derivatives, Sales Trading, Execution, Brokerage, Capital Markets, or Institutional Sales environment within an investment bank, broker, asset manager, or financial institution
- Good knowledge of financial markets and trading dynamics, with hands-on exposure to equity and/or derivatives products
- Understanding of equities, ETFs, fixed income instruments, listed and OTC derivatives, and corporate actions
- Experience supporting institutional clients such as asset managers, hedge funds, family offices, pension funds, insurance companies, or treasury departments
- Ability to monitor market developments, identify trading opportunities, and assist clients on execution-related matters
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret market data, investment information, and trading activity
- Strong communication and relationship management skills with a client-focused approach
- Fluent English is required; Italian is preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is considered a strong plus

An employment contract is offered under the Italian Banking Collective Agreement (CCNL Credito) and Intermonte’s Company Benefits Regulation.
The starting gross annual salary is 45.000 euro. The final offer will be aligned with the candidate’s professional experience, technical and soft skills relevant to the role, and may include an individual variable component.
