Our SAP Public Cloud Centre of Excellence in Manchester sits at the heart of some of the most complex, high-profile SAP Public Cloud programmes in the UK market, from greenfield public sector transformations to large-scale recovery engagements. We're growing fast, which means this is a rare chance to help shape a practice from the ground up rather than join one that's already fully formed. As Development Lead, you'd own how we build extensions and custom development across the whole CoE, at a moment when we're setting that standard for the first time rather than inheriting one from someone else.

You'll set the methodology for everything built on SAP BTP across our engagements, from side-by-side extensions to RAP-based development, and make sure clean-core principles actually hold up under delivery pressure rather than just living in a slide deck.

Day to day, you'll lead WRICEF design and build standards across several concurrent programmes, mentor the developers coming through the CoE, and shape how we scope and price development effort in bids. You'll also own code review and quality standards, so the quality bar you set is the one the whole practice works to.

Essentials:

• Strong hands-on and leadership experience of SAP BTP development, including ABAP RAP and Fiori/UI5.
• A track record delivering WRICEF objects on S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition engagements.
• Experience leading development teams inside a consulting or systems integrator environment.
• A genuine, practical understanding of clean-core principles and SAP's extensibility guardrails, not just the theory.

Desirables:

• SAP BTP certification(s).
• Experience of side-by-side extensibility on public sector engagements.

This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
