Position Summary
The Assistant, Business Intelligence will work within the Business Intelligence team to support reporting, analytics, and automation initiatives across the firm. The role will assist with the development and maintenance of Power BI reports and dashboards, support data-related activities within Azure Databricks, and contribute to process automation efforts using Microsoft Power Automate.
Working closely with senior BI and data engineering team members, the Assistant, Business Intelligence will gain hands-on experience with data analytics, reporting, and modern data platforms while supporting the delivery of business intelligence solutions that meet the firm's reporting and operational needs.
Duties & Accountabilities
The roles and responsibilities of this job include:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Support data preparation, validation, and testing activities.
- Assist with reporting and data analytics requests from business users.
- Contribute to workflow automation initiatives using Microsoft Power Automate.
- Support data integration and transformation activities within Azure Databricks.
- Assist in documenting business requirements, processes, and technical solutions.
- Participate in testing and quality assurance activities for BI solutions.
- Work collaboratively with Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, and Technology team members on projects and enhancements.
- Learn and apply data governance, reporting, and business intelligence best practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends related to analytics, reporting, and automation.
Qualifications
The qualifications of this role are:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in business intelligence, analytics, reporting, and data technologies.
- Exposure to SQL, data analysis, or reporting tools through coursework, internships, or project work.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Databricks, Power Automate, or similar technologies is preferred.
- Basic understanding of relational databases and data concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
