The Operations Practice (OPS) Area is one of BCG's largest functional practices. We help our clients create competitive advantage by enhancing their performance and building strategic capabilities. BCG’s expertise in Operations covers the following areas - supply chain management, procurement, manufacturing, service operations, cost efficiency, operational transformation, research & product development, program and project management, all with a strong digital and analytics overlay.
What You'll Do
As part of BCG's Procurement Transformation team within the Operations Practice, you will help build and scale our Procurement Hub across South America, serving leading organizations throughout the region.
We are seeking exceptional procurement professionals who combine deep functional expertise with a strong consulting mindset. Whether joining as a Consultant, Project Leader, Principal or Partner, you will work alongside senior client leaders and multidisciplinary BCG teams to design and deliver procurement, cost, and operations transformations that create measurable and sustainable business impact. Depending on your experience and level, you will lead complex workstreams, manage client engagements, originate new business opportunities, and contribute to the continued growth of BCG's Procurement Practice.
Responsibilities:
Lead procurement, cost, and operations transformation initiatives across a broad range of industries and client environments.
Partner with executive client stakeholders to diagnose procurement challenges, identify value creation opportunities, and develop practical transformation roadmaps.
Design and implement strategic sourcing, category management, procurement operating models, supplier management, digital procurement, AI-enabled procurement, and end-to-end procurement transformation programs.
Drive transformation initiatives from strategy through implementation, delivering measurable and sustainable business outcomes.
Apply deep procurement expertise while bringing a structured, hypothesis-driven consulting approach to complex business challenges.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary BCG teams across operations, supply chain, manufacturing, digital, AI, analytics, and enterprise transformation.
Coach and develop client teams throughout transformation programs, enabling long-term capability building.
Develop intellectual capital, methodologies, and thought leadership that strengthen BCG's Procurement Practice.
Contribute to proposals, client workshops, and commercial initiatives supporting continued growth of the Procurement Practice.
Support the development of the South America Procurement Hub through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and capability building.
What You'll Bring
Core Qualifications
Demonstrated experience leading procurement, cost, or operations transformation initiatives gained through top-tier consulting, industry leadership, or a combination of both.
Deep expertise in one or more procurement disciplines
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate complex challenges into practical, high-impact recommendations.
Experience working directly with senior business stakeholders and executive leadership teams.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills in both Spanish and English.
Outstanding academic credentials and a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning.
Willingness to travel across South America as business needs evolve.
