Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

As part of Risk IT, you will play a crucial role in enhancing existing systems and developing new functionality to support strategic features.

To be successful as a Senior Software Engineer, you should have experience with:

• Extensive development background in C# .NET
• Experience with SQL and No-SQL Databases
• Practical experience with CI/CD tools (TeamCity, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Gitlab)
• Solid understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe)

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Experience in UI development (Angular)
• Hands-on experience of caching and messaging technologies such as Redis, Kafka, Solace
• Familiarity with Observability tools (Elastic, Observe) is also a plus

This role is based in our Prague office.

Entry Salary: 1,200,000.00 CZK

Upper Salary: 1,683,000.00 CZK

The entry and upper salary information above includes only annual full-time equivalent base salary and represents the typical range of pay for the role. The actual pay rate will reflect the responsibility level of the role and experience level of the individual. The entry and upper salary information does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
