Purpose
The Senior Manager, GWO Static Data Execution is responsible for leading and managing core static data BAU functions including counterparty execution, reference data, and SSIs. The role ensures data integrity through investigation and timely resolution of inconsistencies, represents Static Data in project work, system migrations, and working groups, and partners with internal and external stakeholders to support business needs, regulatory requirements, and process training across GWO and GBM.
Accountabilities
DAY TO DAY DATA MANAGEMENT
- Work with the team to resolve any issues, multi-faceted problems to meet the business needs focusing on creating measurable/ qualitative improvements relating to static data setup for counterparties.
- Liaise with all static data teams and GBM business lines and other GBM stakeholders to clarify and investigate data issues/ inconsistencies. Act as a central point of contact with other departments for counterparty related issues and champion continuous improvement initiatives that support the optimal function for the businesses that we support.
- Strong operating knowledge of current and upcoming changes in rules and regulations such as a FATCA, Volker, EMIR, Dodd Frank as applicable to GBM businesses and in accordance with the relevant governing regulator bodies, specifically CFTC, IRS, OSFI, FINRA, SEC, CIRO etc.
- Work with stakeholders of Static Data and represent within various projects and business initiatives and prioritize requirements, issues and deliverables.
- Create and maintain risk/issue logs and escalates issues to stakeholders and higher management as necessary.
- Participate various sessions/meeting with working groups and conduct UAT/Pre UAT testing as needed.
- Contribute/participate in user acceptance testing activities for ongoing system enhancements or implementation of new systems.
- Capture pertinent information from Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and other authorized source documentation.
- Contribute to the protection of the Bank from exposure to loss by ensuring compliance with Bank policies/procedures and regulatory requirement.
- Review daily email request from the business lines and liaise with technology and other departments for improvements in the process.
CHANGE MANAGEMENT
- Identifies and evaluates various automation and technology solutions that improve productivity, cost, quality, capacity and scale, standardization and cycle time of data flows and processes; works collaboratively with GWRT to design and build the necessary technology platforms and/or tools.
COST MANAGEMENT
- Oversight and Management on direct and indirect budget operational cost allocations to the supported GBM businesses. Manage costs by reviewing and implementing process improvement initiatives, technology rationalization and resource optimization to reduce operational costs.
LEADERSHIP
- Build and maintain an effectively performing and high-quality global team by providing hands-on leadership and on-going direction, subject matter advice and guidance. Optimizes performance, engagement, teamwork and motivation through effective organizational design, defining clear roles and responsibilities, setting challenging but realistic goals, performance expectations and timely feedback.

Education / Experience / Other Information (include only those that are specific to the role)
- Strong background in data management, onboarding, financial services, and information technology.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma combined with relevant business experience would be given consideration.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with project teams and cross-functional stakeholders in a matrix organization
- Proven track record in recruiting, building, coaching, and motivating a skilled, high-performing operations team across regions and time zones
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and work streams
- Excellent research and information-gathering skills, with the ability to identify, document, and recommend solutions to complex business problems
- Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements affecting GBM businesses; prior experience in counterparty set-up or related support roles is an asset.
- English level advanced.

- Strong attention to detail and organization skills. Prior experience in a counterparty set-up / support role would be an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to the growing demands of client onboarding and keeping in line with Compliance and Regulatory requirements.
- Strong computer skills in MS Office and PC use.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including effective communication, persuasion and self-motivation to effectively manage multiple tasks within short deadlines within a changing business environment.

Working Conditions
Complety Night Shif, workload is subject to the number of intraday changes and manual processing. Critical end of day time line must be met to mitigate the risk of substantial losses. Pressure situations from customers (Trading areas and Internal BNS groups) are normal daily occurrences.
