About the role:
Rabobank’s Global Service Centre, Asia Pacific, based in Sydney, provides operational support to Wholesale & Treasury businesses & their clients across the Asia Pacific region.
The Lending & Agency team within Corporate Banking Services oversees the end-to-end loan lifecycle, managing loan processing, reconciliations, fee administration, settlements, & confirmations to support seamless client outcomes.
As an Lending & Agency Officer, you will play a part in the success of this newly created Sydney team in delivering accurate, timely, & compliant payment & account services for Wholesale Banking clients across the Asia Pacific region. You will ensure smooth execution of domestic & cross border transactions & uphold the bank’s commitment to secure & reliable payment operations.

The team works Monday to Friday from 12:30pm to 9pm so you must be willing & able to work hours these hours to support the Asia time zone. As we have a hybrid work environment, you will work a mix of days in the office & days from home.
Top Role Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Monitor end-to-end transaction flows & resolve issues promptly to minimise disruption
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, completeness, timeliness and reliability in all operational activities within SLAs
- Monitor system interfaces to ensure accurate transaction input and lifecycle integrity.
- Investigate, resolve, & escalate cash, system, transactional, data, & reconciliation breaks.
- Respond to payment & transaction-related inquiries in a timely manner.
- Provide clients with guidance on payment formats, cut-off times, & regulatory requirements
- Support onboarding activities, ensuring correct setup of accounts & payment channels.
- Manage a client portfolio or asset class as part of team rotation.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies & external regulations (AML, Sanctions)
To Be Successful, you will have:
- 2+ years’ experience in an operations role within Corporate, Wholesale or Institutional Banking
- Knowledge of Wholesale Banking products including, Corporate Lending products, Trade & Commodity Finance, Value Chain Finance.
- Knowledge of settlements & payments systems (SWIFT, RTGS, FPS, CNAPS, Direct Entry)
- Excellent attention to detail & an ability to work to a high level of accuracy
- Strong communication & stakeholder management skills
- An ability to prioritise, manage pressure, & meet strict deadlines
- Customer-focused mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach
- Mandarin or Cantonese language skills highly regarded
- Willingness & ability to work 12:30pm - 9pm Monday to Friday (mix of in office & at home)
