Level: Managed Services Engineer II
Join Deloitte’s AI & Engineering practice as a Software Engineer II, where you will help design, build, and enhance technology solutions that support complex business needs. In this role, you will contribute across the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through deployment and issue resolution. You will work with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment and support continuous improvement through automation, knowledge sharing, and delivery excellence.

As a Managed Services Engineer II on the AI & Engineering team, you will be responsible for…
- Gather and analyze functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions aligned to business and sector needs
- Design, build, test, and deploy backend applications, application programming interfaces (APIs), and microservices using established engineering practices
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and delivery teams to support sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and release activities in an Agile environment
- Conduct code reviews, resolve defects, and support application quality, performance, and reliability
- Contribute to process improvement, knowledge management, and automation efforts that support delivery efficiency and client outcomes

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM or 2 PM to 11 PM
Qualifications
Required:
- 3-6 years of experience in Java, Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE), Spring Boot, and Microservices development
- Experience building backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Simple Storage Service (S3), Simple Queue Service (SQS), Simple Notification Service (SNS), and Relational Database Service (RDS)
- Experience applying object-oriented programming concepts and software development life cycle practices
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and effort estimation
- Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology, Master of Computer Applications, Master of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent degree
Preferred:
- Experience in mainframe migration, DevOps, or cloud modernization initiatives
- Experience with COBOL, Job Control Language (JCL), Db2, CICS, or VSAM
- Experience with debugging, scheduling, or source control tools used in enterprise environments
- Project experience in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, or computer vision
- Experience with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or natural language processing libraries
- Experience mentoring junior practitioners or supporting team knowledge-sharing activities
