Position Summary
Level: SAP BODS Consultant
As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.
Work you’ll do:
A SAP BODS Consultant is expected to work within Data Team. This person will be primarily responsible to understand Functional requirements and inputs from Functional / Process Teams into a technical design. He / She is expected to deliver development documentation, BODS Extraction, Transformation and Loading Jobs and provide support to Process / Functional teams during Functional Unit Testing cycles. Apart from this the person is also expected to support Data cutover cycles.
- Create and execute the programs to perform Data extraction, Transformation and Loading of the legacy data
- Good Knowledge of Field Mapping, Validations and Modules
- Simple to Medium complex data extractions, transformations, and data loading techniques
- Understanding of end-to-end data migration processes, tools and Load approaches
- Understanding of IDocs, BAPI, RFC, LSMW
- Quick understanding of the technical requirement changes and provide instant solutions
- Manages and resolves data conversion issues during loading, upon consulting with functional team/client
- Maintains standards and documentation for all the developed programs
- Works well in a team environment and ensures that established deadlines for client is met with minimal direction
- Keeps Team Lead well informed on the status of the assigned Migration tasks Daily
- Good Communication skill
- Immediate Joining candidate would be preferred
- Candidate must have worked on at least one / two projects on data migration from end to end involving SAP
- Collaborate with functional teams for issue resolution
- Track timesheets accurately
- Use project management tools as trained
- Capture minutes of meetings (MOM) during technical reviews
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Work effectively within structured, process-driven environments

Qualifications:
Must have Skills:
- 3-6 Years of hands-on experience with SAP BODS
- Hands-on experience with S/4HANA implementation projects
- Technical involvement in at least one full-cycle implementation project
- Excellent knowledge of BODS (ETL)
- Experience in developing Data Migration Jobs (ETL) with Source or Target as SAP
- Should have thorough knowledge of ETL & Conversion objects
- Exposure / Understand of Data Migration Process and Tools
- Should have knowledge of SQL Queries
- Understanding of SDLC
- Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills
- Good understanding of the Functional Processes
- Experience of writing technical specification documents
- Good communication skills
Good to have Skills:
- Experience in any additional skill area such as Integration, SAP UI5, SAP BTP, MDG, or EWM Technical
Must have skills:
- Experienced in End-to-End Data Migration (ETL) Projects with Target as SAP ERP involving BODS 4.0 / 4.1 / 4.2
- Excellent knowledge of SQL Queries
- Excellent understanding of Data Migration Life Cycle
- Excellent documentation and BODS (ETL) Skills
- Strong team player
Education:
· BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
