Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Back-End Developer with proven experience in designing and delivering complex, high-scale distributed systems. This role goes beyond coding—you will be responsible for architecting solutions, solving complex technical challenges, and guiding engineering teams to build reliable and performant backend platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop highly scalable, resilient, and secure backend systems
- Architect complex solutions using microservices, event-driven, or domain-driven design patterns
- Lead backend design discussions and make key architectural decisions
- Develop and maintain RESTful / GraphQL APIs and backend services
- Ensure system performance through optimization, caching, and efficient data handling
- Work on large-scale data processing, high-throughput systems, and distributed architectures
- Collaborate with product, architecture, DevOps, and frontend teams for end-to-end delivery
- Drive code quality, best practices, and engineering standards through reviews and mentorship
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, bottlenecks, and scalability issues
- Implement and support CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues with root cause analysis
- Leverage and adopt AI-assisted development tools and practices to improve productivity and code quality
Must-Have Skills
Programming & Frameworks
- Strong expertise in one or more backend technologies:
- Java (Spring Boot) / Node.js / Python / Go
- Experience in Rest API designing and implementation
- Deep understanding of design patterns, clean architecture, and SOLID principles
Architecture & System Design
- Strong experience with:
- Microservices architecture
- Event-driven systems
- Distributed systems design
- Experience in designing fault-tolerant and highly available systems
- Knowledge of API design best practices and versioning strategies
Databases & Data Handling
- Expertise in:
- Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis)
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, indexing, and performance tuning
Integration & Messaging
- Experience with:
- Kafka / RabbitMQ / other messaging systems
- Understanding of asynchronous processing and eventual consistency
DevOps & Cloud
- Experience with:
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Performance & Scalability
- Strong understanding of:
- Load balancing, caching (Redis, CDN)
- Performance tuning and system bottleneck analysis
Good to Have
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
- Exposure to serverless architectures
- Knowledge of security best practices (OAuth2, JWT, Zero Trust concepts)
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
