Consultant, Direct Tax – USI Firms Tax

We are looking for professionals with sound working knowledge in Indian domestic and international tax law matters.

Work you’ll do

As a part of this team you will be expected to possess and demonstrate the following work skill-sets

• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Sound understanding of financial accounting (income statements, balance sheets, cash flows) and financials.
• Experience in preparing General account schedules.
• Experience in preparing supporting work papers to support tax returns.
• Experience in handling tax compliances
• Data complying for tax audits
• Filling of Form 3CD (Fair knowledge of all clauses of Form 3CD)
• Knowledge of data requirement of tax computation
• Filling of Income Tax returns
• Form 26 AS reconciliation & AIS reconciliation.
• Preparation and filing of Monthly TDs payments & Quarterly return related activity for TDS.
• Drafting tax responses, submissions and representation before tax office
• Fair knowledge of e-filing Income tax portal
• Must have fair knowledge of Income tax law including international tax law.
• Knowledge of tax assessment and related activities including drafting of responses.
• Proficiency in MS Office (including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills).
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team in a dynamic work environment.

The team

This position is a part of the Deloitte US India Firms Tax team. This Deloitte US India Firms Tax team is responsible for ensuring entity level compliances for all the Deloitte US India companies, besides catering to the tax essentials and advise to the internal business and enabling functions ecosystems. The team consists of tax professionals with adequate expertise in handling tax matters. This team works in close coordination with the USI finance, legal and enabling teams besides business teams to ensure optimum tax health of the Deloitte US India companies.

Location: Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM

Qualifications

Required:

• CS/CMA/CA Inter or LLB with 3+ years of experience with a Large MNC or Big 4/consulting firm (preference would be a Big 4 or consulting firm)
• Candidates with work experience in mid-to-large sized CA firms specializing in corporate tax work with good communication and drafting skills
• Candidates with a work-based demonstrated affinity in pursuing a career in corporate and international tax.
• The candidate should demonstrate integrity and energy and possess independent working ability and have a collaborative mindset. Capability of interactions with government officials, and liasioning with tax advisors and consultants would be an added advantage
• Candidates should possess cool temperament and be flexible in managing priorities and adaptable to change in process with stringent timelines is required
• Good working experience on Microsoft Excel and Word shall be essential.
• The professional should be able to work with multiple teams and should be a strong team player.
• Working knowledge / exposure to SAP / other ERP is required.
