Consultant – Tax Transformation Consulting (TTC) - SAP FICO/SD with DRC E-Invoicing & E-Reporting
Deloitte’s Tax Transformation Consulting practice is seeking a Tax Consultant II to support clients as they modernize and improve their tax operations. In this role, you will help translate tax and business requirements into technology-enabled solutions that improve compliance, reporting, and operational efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to work across tax, process, and technology teams on projects that support large organizations in building scalable tax functions.
Work you'll do
As a Tax Consultant II on the Tax Transformation Consulting team, you will be responsible for:
• Supporting the delivery of tax technology and tax transformation projects for clients across industries• Gathering, documenting, and analyzing business, process, and system requirements for tax-related initiatives• Assisting with configuration, testing, validation, and implementation activities for tax technology solutions• Preparing data analyses, reconciliations, and reporting outputs to support project objectives and client needs• Collaborating with tax, technology, and client stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities

Tax Transformation Consulting helps clients respond to increased regulatory requirements and greater scrutiny by building tax functions that are strategic, agile, and focused on business value. The practice supports organizations in moving from their current state to the next generation of tax operations through process improvement, technology enablement, and operating model transformation.
Deloitte’s Tax Transformation Consulting professionals work across tax, technology, organizational change, and co-sourcing disciplines to help connect global business strategies with practical tax function solutions. The team brings together specialized experience to help clients improve efficiency, manage risk, and enhance the performance of their tax departments.
Location: Hyderabad/Bengaluru/Mumbai/Pune/Gurugram/Chennai/Kolkata
Shift Timings: 10 AM to 7 PM or 11 AM to 8 PM
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Economics• 2+ years of experience in tax technology, tax operations, tax transformation, or tax process support• Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics• Experience in configuring or oversee configuration of SAP DRC and eDocument Framework components, including electronic document types, statutory reporting definitions, output determination, and compliance monitoring. Experience of working with SAP Integration Suite, SAP BTP, PI/PO, or related middleware to connect SAP environments with tax authority platforms, e-invoicing networks, and external compliance providers. Support mapping of ERP data to required reporting formats such as XML, JSON, UBL, or jurisdiction-specific structures, and help resolve message, validation, and transmission issues.• Experience with data, reporting, or automation tools such as Microsoft Excel, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, or SQL• Experience documenting business requirements, process flows, or functional specifications• Experience supporting testing, validation, or implementation activities for technology or process-change projects
Preferred:
• Experience with tax applications such as OneSource, Vertex, Avalara, or CorpTax• Experience on tax transformation, ERP, or finance transformation projects• Experience working with cross-functional teams across tax, finance, and technology• Experience with workflow or automation tools such as Power Automate or Power Apps• Chartered Accountant, MBA, M.Com, or comparable postgraduate qualification
