Work you’ll do:As a Tax Consultant II on the Tax team, you will be responsible for…Supporting tax compliance, reporting, and operational activities across assigned engagements Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining tax data, workpapers, and supporting documentationResponsibilities include: -Guided assistance to Deloitte Member Firms to support? Preparation and review of tax returns of Australian corporations using your knowledge of accounting rules to understand trial balance and financial statement information; apply relevant Australian tax laws & rulings? Assist in preparation / review of tax effect accounting and deferred tax calculations? Coordinate with onshore Australian teams for queries and deliverables? Prepare tax return transmittal letters outlining key tax positions in the tax return and legislative changes? Preparation of tax position papers for client specific tax matters ? Working with Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat ? Review trust distribution calculations prepared by clients to ensure appropriate adjustments have been made and that the distribution is in accordance with current Tax Law;? Prepare engagement documentation for clients and invoices for work performed? Perform data analysis and reporting (project specific) using different tools like Tableau, Alteryx etc.? Support process improvements and automation initiatives.? Perform tax research work in relation to tax positions and client questions
Qualifications Required:? Full time master’s degree in finance or equivalent from reputed university? Strong accounting knowledge? 1-3 years’ Experience of working on Australian taxation is mandatory.? Critical thinking and analytical skills ? Proficient in written and verbal English communication? Demonstrated ability to work in a team? Knowledge of Microsoft Office products — Excel, Word, etc. ? Aptitude for learning technology ? Exposure to various analytical tools would be an added advantage? Experience with compliance tools like OneSource, CCH, APS would be an added advantage
Work Location: Hyderabad / Kolkata / Bengaluru || Shift Timings: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
